RAWHONEY. drops sophomore EP TODAY!
RAWHONEY. Is an immensely talented band ruling from Nashville, TN and if you haven’t heard of them by now, we highly suggest you run to your streaming platform and give these guys a well-deserved listen!
The Duo’s sophomore album was released today and includes 8 full-length songs one with a feature we think you all know very well! From the moment the first track hits, it’s clear that this project thrives on chaotic energy, merging genres and influences in ways that feel wild, unfiltered, and completely refreshing. The band is composed of Ryan O’Connor on Vocals, guitar, and songwriting and Mitch Gorman on bass and drums. This entire EP was co-produced by the duo with the exception of tracks 5 and 8 which were produced by Carson Hogan of The Wldlfe.

Insane from Exposure starts off with track one, “decay”. This piano ballad instantly fills you with heavy emotion and pulls you in. Ryan’s soft vocals carry the song into an intense build-up. This song was the perfect track one and is sure to keep your focus to the end leaving you wanting more. This track perfectly transitions into “seperate” which has an electric techno feel. It is extremely impressive how seamlessly RAWHONEY. has incorporated so many different genres into one beautiful song. Each track seems to evolve from its predecessors, building tension and excitement. “separate “ gives you that EDM and metalcore vibe that is so prominent in today’s scene. This genre mix can be extremely tricky to pull off but RAWHONEY. has no issue making incredible music that continues to draw you in. The way each track transitions into the next makes for an immersive listening experience. The lyrical abilities of this band surpass all expectations and each track carries a sense of rawness any listener could relate to. The instrumentals of these tracks are incredibly impressive and will have you wowed by the complexity.
A stand-out track on the EP is one that ahs a feature from none other than Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens. “no one really cares!” is an energetic sound that dives into the issues that social media holds on our society. It is a hard wake-up call that makes the listener self-reflect on how much of a hold likes, replays, shares, etc. have on our daily lives when in reality as the track is named, no one really cares! It is an impressive point of view and reminder that we are way too immersed in social media culture.
Overall the entirety of this EP is worth a listen or two! For those who are fans of indie pop, hyperpop, EDM, Post-hardcore, or metalcore, you are sure to find a track in this EP you’ll fall in love with.
The production of "Insane from Exposure" is nothing short of groundbreaking. RAWHONEY’s ability to weave intricate layers of sound into a seamless, yet unpredictable listening experience is a defining trait of the EP. RAWHONEY.’s EP is exactly what the title suggests—an intense dive into a world of sound that leaves you feeling exposed and overwhelmed. It's unapologetically bold, wildly creative, and a snapshot of an artist unafraid to push their limits. If you're looking for music that challenges your senses and doesn’t play it safe, this EP is the kind of crazy, captivating ride you need. RAWHONEY. proves with this EP that they are an artist unafraid to expose the darker corners of their mind and express it with stunning authenticity.
