Real Friends at The TLA

Real Friends brought their heart-on-sleeve pop-punk energy to The Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia, delivering a show that was one to remember. Known for their emotionally charged lyrics and infectious hooks, the band proved why they remain one of the standout acts in the modern pop-punk scene.

Their ability to balance emotional depth with an infectious live show has made them a band that continues to resonate with their broad and loyal fanbase. Real Friends proved they are a band at the height of their powers with a set that included fan favorites, new hits, and enough raw energy to light up the city. The entire band has an unmatched chemistry. Cody’s ability to connect with the crowd on a deeper level than most modern musicians continues to show. He puts everything out on the stage, and on the floor with the crowd. Performing “I’ve Given Up on You” in the middle of the crowd was a sight to see. Everyone sang in unison while Cody put himself on the same level as his fans. There was an undeniable intimate energy in the room from that point on. Everyone became one and that is the beauty of live music.  Whether you’re a longtime fan or just discovering their music, a Real Friends show is an unforgettable experience—one that will leave you reflecting on both the highs and lows of life, but always with the knowledge that you’re not alone in feeling them.
